Alejo Yabes Imperio, 83, of Paauilo died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Calanutian, Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a cane truck unloader for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 9) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Esperanza Imperio of Paauilo; sons, Robert (Marie) Imperio of Arizona and Shane (Lisa) Imperio of Seattle; daughter, Mildred (Brett) Reid of Alaska; sister, Magdalena (Lolito) Ramos of Waipahu, Oahu; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
