Howard Earl Alameda, 63, of Hilo died Oct. 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was an owner and operator for Gravity Flow Plumbing, plumber for the former Alameda Plumbing and a Waiakea Boxing Club Golden Gloves/AAU champion. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Monday (Oct. 24) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 6 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by father, Samuel (Diane) Alameda Sr.; daughters, Farrah (Canaan) Boggs, Ku‘ualoha Alameda and Ku‘ulei Alameda; brothers, Samuel Alameda Jr. and Christian Kimo (Starlene) Alameda; sisters, Charmaine (Karl) Alameda and Chantee (Glenn Jr.) Shiroma; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
