Jack Benedict Bovee, 95, of Captain Cook died April 14 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Milwaukee, he was a plant manager for Chevron Oil, member of Pioneers of Alaska, Kona Orchid Society, U.S. Army veteran and square dance and ballroom dancer. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Joan Bovee of Captain Cook; sons, Gregory (Maria) Bovee of California and Aaron (Monica) Bovee of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughter, Crystal (Carl) Springer of Anchorage, Alaska; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Christopher Allen Satoru Ducosin, 35, of Keaau died April 19 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a commercial house painter. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Face masks and social distancing required. Mildred Torayo Sato, 94, of Hilo died April 8 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was retired from the former Hilo Auto and Truck and member of Taishoji Soto Mission and Fukushima Kenjinkai. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Lesley (Darol Tanigawa) Sato of Hilo; daughter, Lyndee (Brian) Yoneishi of Hilo; sister, Hirono Haraguchi of Hilo; sister-in-law, Gladys (Henry) Shimata of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Michio Iyo of Hilo; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and cousins. Aaron Sunao Shimabukuro, 70, of Honolulu died April 13 in Mililani. Born in Honokaa, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Private services.
