Jack Benedict Bovee, 95, of Captain Cook died April 14 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Milwaukee, he was a plant manager for Chevron Oil, member of Pioneers of Alaska, Kona Orchid Society, U.S. Army veteran and square dance and ballroom dancer. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Joan Bovee of Captain Cook; sons, Gregory (Maria) Bovee of California and Aaron (Monica) Bovee of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughter, Crystal (Carl) Springer of Anchorage, Alaska; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
