Dorothy L. Chisholm, 98, of Kailua-Kona died May 8 at Marilyn’s Care Home. Born in Howard, Mo., she was a housewife. Private services. Survived by her daughter, Paige (Ross) Honda of Holualoa; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Takeno Honda, 99, of Keaau died April 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honomu, she was a homemaker and member of Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission. Private services held. Survived by son, Glenn (Renee) Honda of Colorado; daughter, Brenda (David) Cabatbat of Keaau; sisters, Chieko Machida and Miyako Yano of Honolulu; a granddaughter, a grandson and three great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews. Teruko Inoue, 100, of Hilo died April 28 at a private care home. Born in Hakalau, she was a homemaker, member of Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission and former member of Keaau Senior Citizen Group and Big Island Bonsai Association. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Karen Inoue of Hilo; son-in-law, George Kawachi of Hilo; sisters, Kayo (Hiroshi) Kawai of Gardena, Calif., and Mie (Edwin) Kuramoto of Anaheim, Calif.; four grandsons and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Fumie Kawano, 88, of Hilo died May 3 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired registered nurse for the former Hilo Hospital and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Survived by sons, Gavin (Jean) Kawano and Kyle (Kathy Kosaka) Kawano of Hilo; daughters, Joni (Anthony) Garcia of Henderson, Nev., and Cara Gebhard of Pearl City, Oahu; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
