Andrew James Christy, 58, of Ocean View died May 5 at home. Born in Morristown, N.J., he was a self-employed auto mechanic and U.S. Army veteran. No services. Mary Evander, 93, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Keaau, died May 10 in Potomac, Md. Born in Los Angeles, she was a retired library assistant at California State University, Long Beach, former typist at the Los Angeles Times, a reader, walker, lover of movies, political cartoons and puns and conservationist. No services. Survived by son, Paul Evander of Tahoe City, Calif.; daughters, Janet (Mark Wimer) Evander of College Park, Md., and Christine (Peter) Loos of Keaau.

James “Jim” Albert Grazzini Jr., 71, of Kurtistown died May 8 with his loving wife, Susan, by his side. Born in San Francisco, he was a teacher and woodworker who transformed Big Island homes. Robert E. Saucerman, 88, of Hilo died April 30 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Florida, he was a retired fuel superintendent in the U.S. Air Force. Survived by daughter, Erin Fernandes of Mountain View; brothers Ira (Judy) Saucerman of Vero Beach, Fla., and Louis (Eunice) Saucerman of Worthington Springs, Fla.; sisters, Amanda Strange, Gladys (Noah) Spivey and Marie (Sam) Hancock of Palatka, Fla., Tanya Braun of Middleburg, Fla.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
