James Nu‘uanu Cipriano, 57, of Las Vegas died Sept. 18 at home. Born in Kealakekua, he was a customer-service/ground-service agent for Delta Airlines and U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Puka‘ana Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) in Kealia, South Kona. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Desirae Cipriano of Las Vegas; daughters, Kawailani (Clayton Jiminez) Cipriano and Malia Cipriano of Las Vegas; brothers, George Cipriano Jr., of Kailua-Kona and Matthew (Pearl) Cipriano of Corona, Calif.; sisters, Geraldine (Calvin) Ely of El Paso, Texas, Emelia (Wayne) Kiwaha of Kealia-Hookena, Marilee (Howard K.) Alapai and Imogene Cipriano-Keka of Kailua Kona; hanai mother, Daisy K. Losalio of Kealia-Hookena; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marilyn Yoshie Thompson, 71, of Hilo died Oct. 30 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of Honomu Henjoji Mission. Private services held. Survived by son, Joshua Thompson of Hilo; daughter, Christina (Michael) Reiter of Florida; brother, Craig (Aileen) Tomori of Hilo; sisters, Meryl Farmer and Robin Tomori of Hilo; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
