Robert Kealoha Perkins, 77, of Kailua-Kona died June 6 at Tripler Army Medical Center. Born in Hawaii, he was an industrial painter, owner of Ohana Painting and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Graveside services with military honors at 9 a.m. Friday, July 12, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire. Violet “Vie” Ruth Mata Ramirez, 84, of Kailua-Kona, died June 24 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Hamakua, she was a retired waitress. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired busperson and waitress at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of Senior Citizens Group of Waimea, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local No. 142. Visitation 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 65-1160 Kapiolani Rd. in Waimea. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cemetery, Waimea. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
