Stoney Dean Aiona Aka, 56, of Pahoa died May 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was an iron worker. Celebration of life 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Cody’s hale in Pahoa. Survived by daughters, Ashton Aiona Aka and Breeanna (Bronson) Aiona Aka Charkowski of Pahoa, Daysha Aiona Aka of Hilo; son, Cody (Tia Angel) Aiona Aka of Pahoa; mother, Gloria Grider of Pahoa; companion, Jennifer Haslett of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael Leroy Booth, 61, of Waimea died April 30 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Great Bend, Kan., he was a drill rig roughneck. Survived by son, Jason (Maria) Booth of Waimea; daughter, Natasha Booth of Enid, Okla.; mother, Frances Booth of Liberal, Kan.; brothers, David Booth and Laban (Brenda) Booth of Liberal; sisters, Carrie (Dennis) Booth and Jenny Bloomfield of Liberal, Patricia (Richard) Galbreath of Lebanon, Mo.; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Walter Kenichi Ita, 85, of Ookala died May 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired diesel mechanic for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Russell Ita of Waimea, Aaron (Kaleen) Ita of Honolulu and Ellison (Lorna) Ita of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Judith (Robert) Koyanagi of Hilo and Constance Loff of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Kazumi Oshita of Kona and Raymond Kamei of Pahala; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Patrick Hiroshi “Paka” Oguma Sr., 67, of Keaau died Feb. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. He was a shipfitter for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and solo musician. Visitation starts 5:30 p.m. at Oahu Mortuary, 2162 Nuuanu Ave. in Honolulu. Celebration of life to follow. Survived by wife, Linda K. Oguma of Honolulu; sons, Patrick H. Oguma Jr. and Joshua K.N. (Sharon) Oguma of Honolulu; daughter, Michelle P.M. (Ronald Phipps) Oguma of Honolulu; brothers, Joseph M. (Margaret) Oguma of Honolulu and Blaine S. The late Delphine Barbara (Funn) Parra died April 22. An incorrect date was submitted for an obituary published Tuesday.
