Carrie Lynn Austin, 57, of Kailua-Kona died July 1 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in San Jose, Calif., she was retired. Celebration of life at noon Nov. 1 at OTEC Beach. Edwin “Brada” “Eddie Boy” DeSa III, 41, of Pepeekeo and Fern Acres died Sept. 18 at home. He was born in Hilo. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday (Oct. 12) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo. Nora Kauhane Kaalanuiahina Hao, 75, of Kalaoa died Sept. 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, she was a security officer for G4S and Wackenhut Security Services. Anacleto Heloca Sr., 81, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 5 at Marilyn Foster’s Care Home. Born in Captain Cook, he was a maintenance man for Longs Drugs in Keauhou, construction worker, coffee farmer, member of the American Legion and a ham radio operator group and retired National Guard member. Visitation 9 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 17) at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery pavilion in Kailua-Kona. Memorial service at 9:30 a.m. followed by internment. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Rosemary Heloca of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Bernadine Heloca of Kailua-Kona and Roselani (Naea) Straus of Waimea; sons, Anacleto (Fabian) Heloca Jr. of Oahu and Benjamine Heloca and Wayne Heloca of Kailua-Kona; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Yukie (Kuramoto) Matsuoka, 83, of San Jose, Calif., died Oct. 3 in San Jose. Born in Hilo, she was a nurse. Memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 N. Fifth St., San Jose. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lustgarten Foundation. Survived by daughters, Cheryl Cavanagh and Denise Matsuoka; son Eric Matsuoka; brothers, Richard Kuramoto, Gerald Kuramoto and Burton Kuramoto; sisters, Saeko Sato and Kiku Sasaki; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
