Paving to begin Monday on West Kawailani Street

A continuous 24-hour road closure will begin at 6 a.m. Monday and continue through 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, on West Kawailani Street in Hilo between Iwalani and Kanoelani streets, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period. Special-duty police officers will be posted in the area to direct traffic.
