The University of Hawaii at Hilo’s College of Continuing Education and Community Service will conduct a two-day Adobe Premiere Elements workshop and a one-day advanced grant-writing course.
The two-day video-editing course is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and Friday in the SeniorNet Lab on the second floor at 891 Ululani St. Tuition is $75.
Adobe Premiere Elements is a video-editing package that can deliver professional results for those who don’t require Premiere Pro.
Participants will learn to export and share finished video projects in a range of formats, arrange and edit video clips, add and mix audio to their video projects, import digital video to Premiere Elements from a video camera, create Premiere Elements Projects, create professional transitions, titles and effects, as well as export and share finished video projects in a range of formats.
Basic computer skills and a flash drive (4GB+) are required.
The advanced grant-
writing class is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 18 at UH-Hilo in UCB Room 118. The cost is $75.
Instructor Jeani Navarro will show participants how to research and write proposals that get funded. administration and finances.
Navarro has more than 30 years of grant-writing experience and has helped various community organizations secure needed funding.
