Mayor Roth hopes to be cleared for work this week

Mayor Mitch Roth hopes to be cleared to return to work this week as he continues his recovery from a Jan. 9 heart attack and subsequent procedure to have a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted.

“I actually feel really good, and every day I’m feeling a little bit stronger and a lot better,” he said Monday via phone.

“I’m chomping at the bit to get permission to go back.”

Roth said he’s not back in the office yet but has been doing “a little bit of stuff,” and remains in contact with his staff.
