Isaiah Pilanca-Emmsley led the Trojans (3-4) with 16 points, and Carvalho had 10. Ka’u moved into a third-place tie with Kohala.
Damon Romero scored a game-high 27 for the Daggers (2-5), who fell a game behind the Cowboys and Trojans in fifth.
The top two squads in the six-team playoffs will receive byes, with the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds hosting first-round playoff games.
Ka’u led 28-17 at halftime before Pahoa battled back.
Honokaa 56, Kohala 43: Kamuela Spencer Herring scored 14 points and Micah Lorenzo added 11 as host Honokaa remained the only one-loss team in Division II,
Maui Hook scored 17 for the Cowboys (3-4), who have lost three in a row.
Honokaa (5-1)was strong defensively in the first two quarter, leading 25-12 at halftime.

Hawaii Prep 45, Ka’u 35: Coco Shafer scored 24 points in Waimea, and Ka Makani’s win combined with the Daggers loss Monday helped HPA lock up its first Division II playoff berth since 2014.
Kianie Medeiros-Dancel scored 21 points for the Trojans (0-9), who cut into a 10-point halftime deficit by outscoring HPA 14-7 in the third quarter.
Ka Makani closed strong, scoring 19 points in the fourth.
Kealakehe 51, Pahoa 33: The host Waveriders (1-7) won their first game of the season.
