Police seek leads on missing ‘endangered’ teen

Police are seeking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Justine Kawaa, who was reported as a runaway. Due to her age, she is classified as an endangered missing child.

Kawaa is part-Hawaiian with a light complexion, 5-feet tall, 146 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen walking on Kapiolani Street in Hilo at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, wearing a black top, black shorts, and camouflage Crocs.

Police ask anyone with information about Kawaa’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number (808) 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300.
