The county said Thursday there will be alternating-lane closures from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. next week Monday through Friday at Manowaiopae Stream and Old Mamalahoa Highway in Laupahoehoe.
The county said Thursday there will be alternating-lane closures from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. next week Monday through Friday at Manowaiopae Stream and Old Mamalahoa Highway in Laupahoehoe.
The traffic changes will be to fix damage from Hurricane Lane to the Laupahoehoe culvert.
All local traffic will be allowed through the Kuwaikahi Stream and Old Mamalahoa access road.
The following week, June 20-24, Kuwaikahi Stream and Old Mamalahoa access road will be closed, and all traffic will be allowed through Manowaiopae Stream and Old Mamalahoa Highway access road.
The alternating week road closures will continue until Aug. 23. Flaggers and/or officers will be directing traffic, and message boards will be posted on Hawaii Belt Road.
