Police: Missing man murdered, two suspects identified

Police say a man reported missing in late 2020 has been murdered, and two suspects have been identified.

The victim is Albert Aukai Manners, who was 35 when he was reported missing on Dec. 1, 2020. Family members reported not hearing from him since the middle of November 2020.

Police never publicly reported Manners’ body being discovered. But in a statement released today, police identified two Puna men as suspects, 44-year-old Kiha Rodney Stone Kaahu of Leilani Estates subdivision and 42-year-old Olomana Pacad Black of Ainaloa Estates subdivision.

Neither have been charged in Manners’ slaying, and police didn’t specify how Manners was killed. The investigation has been forward to the Office of Prosecuting Attorney for review.
