Mr. Pedro D. Haspe, 98, of Hilo died Feb. 14 at home. Born in Hawi, he was a retired factory supervisor for the former Puna Sugar Co., member of the Hilo Orchid Society and the former East Kawailani Kumiai and U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. Visitation 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 19 at Wailoa River State Recreation Area, Pavilion No. 3 in Hilo. Celebration of life service at noon. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Lottie Haspe of Hilo; sons, Warren Haspe and Derek Haspe of Kailua-Kona, Troy (Linda) Haspe of Hilo; brother, Hilario “Larry” “Noy” (Allan Keto) Ramiscal of Hawaiian Paradise Park; brothers-in-law, Pablo Bibilone and Perfecto Raniada of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Elisabeth Haspe of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Sharon Raniada of Hilo and Ramona Lorenz of Kurtistown; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins.
