Inez Markell, 97, of Mill Valley, Calif., died Feb. 3 in Mill Valley. Born in Hilo, she was one of the first women to play in the Hawaii County Band. Anita “Tweedy” Castillo Perry, 83, of Honokaa died Jan. 28 at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua. Born in Hilo she was a retired secretary for the state Department of Health and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
