Deborah “Debbie” Kay Fields, 65, of Keaau died Oct. 20 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Tacoma, Wash., she was a former food demonstrator supervisor, member and pianist of Heritage Christian Fellowship and pianist for Family Christian Center and Living Faith Fellowship. Laura Ruth Gharazeddine, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 26 at home. Born in Kingston, N.Y., she was active in the Hawaii County Democratic Party, served as a convention delegate, precinct president, District 6 chairman and secretary, paddler and member of Kai Opua Canoe Club, road rally racer and participant in The Great Race for several years.
