Edward Asuncion, 74, of Pahoa died Sept. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired mason and member of Hawaii Mason and Plasterers Union Local 630. “Tubby” Roland Lanakila Grace Sr., 65, of Pahala died Sept. 7 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospita., Born in Kealakekua, he was a former ranger for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, football and boxing coach, educational assistant for Ka‘u High School agriculture class, operations manager, heavy machinery operator, security officer for RMT Enterprise, U.S. Army and National Guard veteran and Konawaena High School alumnuse.
