Eric “Buta” Tetsu Hayashi, 49, of Hilo died August 8, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a fire equipment operator for the Hawaii Fire Department and member of Lincoln Wreckers Athletic Association and Hawaii Fire Fighters Association.
