Jacqueline Leslie Becker, 64, of Honokaa died Aug. 25 at home. Born in Kenya, she was an equine therapist and owner of International Pony Rubs. No services. Arthur Ellis Kalanikiekie Brusco Sr., 76, of Kailua-Kona died May 14. Born in Pearl City, Oahu, he was a retired trucking business owner, member of Puka da Sky Golf Club, and past president of Hui Ilima Of Santa Clara County. Private services. Survived by wife, Phoebe Brusco; son, Arthur (Susan) Brusco Jr. of Keaau; daughter Heather (Morris) Brusco of Kailua-Kona; and a grandson.

Dianna Rhoda Ching, 77, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she was a housewife, worked as a room maid at the King Kamehameha Hotel and sales clerk at Payless Store, and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna. Yong Sun Hong, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 30 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Seoul, Korea, she was a self-employed seamstress and member of the Kona Korean Missions Church. Darrell “Mala” Malakaua, 63, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 26 at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a security guard for Kona Seaside Hotel and Kona Bowl; a former truck driver for Better Brands, Paradise Beverages, Roberts Hawaii and Slim Holt Hawaii; a certified nursing assistant for Full Life and Care Resources, scoutmaster for Aloha Council Boy Scouts of America LDS Troop 131; member of Hawaii Teamsters Union Local 996 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints. Service to be announced at a later date. Survived by wife Jurene Manuia-Malakaua of Kailua-Kona; children, Ryan (Joni) Yuen of Waimea, Kanani (Shaun) Rhea of Alaska, Kanani (Alex Blanco) Malakaua of Waimea, Lopaka (Marie) Pavitt of Florida, Aikane (Jasmyn) Manuia, Bula Malakaua, Ui (Rusty Oppenheimer) Malakaua, Hiilani Malakaua, Kamai Malakaua, all of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Carolyn (Norbert) Pfahler of Kauai, Trudy (Robert) Yamada, Jamie (Gabriel DeSilva) Malakaua of Hilo; brother, Randall (Debbie Yoshizumi) Malakaua, of Hilo; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Norma Jeanne Mullikin, 96, of Pahoa died July 24 at home. Born in Kansas City, Mo., she was a retired special education teacher. Services will take place in Missouri at a later date. Sean Skillman, 54, of Pahoa died Aug. 21. No Services held. Survivors are asked to contact Hilo Medical Center at 932-3153.
