Arlene Jane Bice, 85, of Kurtistown died Aug. 13 in Keaau. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was retired from Bank of Hawaii and a member of Puna Covenant Church. Celebration of life at a later date. Tantalayo Saenz, 66, of Paauilo died Aug. 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Michael Hideo Umeno, 71, of Kona died June 27 in Holualoa. Born on Oahu, he was owner of Umeno Auto Repair, a former employee at Kona Village Resort, and U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran. Survived by wife, Judy Umeno of Kona; son, David (Koua) Umeno of Okinawa, Japan; brother, Glenn (Shirlie) Umeno of Oahu; sister, Janis (Dennis) Hoe of Oahu; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
