Four individuals are now hospitalized.
The Big Island has seen daily increases of positive cases for the past three weeks, according to Civil Defense, a majority of which are the result of Hilo-based gatherings where people disregarded prevention measures.
Civil Defense also reported 12 new cases on both Saturday and Sunday.
The increase in Big Island cases are part of an ongoing statewide surge of virus numbers.
DOH on Sunday reported 248 new cases on Sunday, bringing statewide tally to 6,600. There have been 47 reported deaths.
Drive-through testing sites are scheduled today until 1 p.m. at the Keaukaha Gym and until noon at the Keauhou Shopping Center in North Kona.
