Lito Macatbag Asuncion, 69, of Hilo died June 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired elderly affairs program planner for the counties of Kauai and Hawaii, former manager and co-owner of Prince Kuhio One Hour Photo in Hilo, co-founder, first president and advisor of Sariling Gawa Youth Council and former officer and member of several Filipino and professional organizations in Hawaii. Tion Kawaihona DeMello, 44, of Hilo died June 20 in Kona. Services at a later date. Alice Lihau Hao Gray, 70, of Glenwood died June 22 at home. Born in Kailua-Kona, she worked at the former Uncle Billy’s Hilo & Kona Bay Hotels and retired from C.W. Maintenance Co. John “Jock” William Mair, 68, of Holualoa died June 8 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Ewa Plantation, Oahu, he was a cement finisher for Isemoto Contracting, Hawaiian Dredging Construction and Reef Development and member of Cement Finishers Local 630. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Gail Mair of Holualoa; daughters, Stacey Fujisaka of Hawaii and Molly Mair of Oregon; brother, Donald (Joan) Mair of Kaaawa, Oahu; sister, Margaret Moses of California; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
