Send them back
Visitors who don’t respect Hawaii’s 14-day mandatory self-quarantine by flouting this emergency order should be sent back to their home states or countries immediately instead of being funneled through our legal system, posting bail and being scheduled for future court dates, which allows them back into our Big Island community.
This will avoid risk to the general community, where our contagion numbers are still rising, and will avoid expenses to law enforcement and the legal system.
With this emergency order in place, why create the necessity to have to hunt for these lawbreakers?

Presidential disability?
In 1973, Maj. Harold Hering was discharged from the U.S. Air Force for asking, “How can I know that an order I receive to launch my missiles came from a sane president?”
In regard to the U.S. Postal Service and voting by mail, we should all be asking Hering’s question about the president right now.
Donald Trump is under the impression that voting by mail will prevent Republicans from ever being elected, and now he has a personal vendetta against the post office.
Some suggested he is afraid voting by mail will prevent him from being re-elected, which is the real reason behind this. But I wouldn’t dare accuse him of that, now would I?
The 25th Amendment to the Constitution (Section 4, which deals with presidential disability and succession) could be invoked in an out-of-control situation like this, especially when he has stated he would block coronavirus aid to the USPS if it doesn’t hike up its prices immediately. That was directly from The Washington Post.
This is unconscionable in the midst of a global pandemic.

‘Funny money’
Let me share this with you.
I have not been able to check the figures, but the entire tourist industry spends a total of $4 billion a year in Hawaii. That’s buses, rooms, food … everything.
The federal government just gave the state of Hawaii $4 billion.
That should be quite a windfall.
Unfortunately, the federal government is printing funny money, which the government is borrowing from the Federal Reserve.
Do you see any problems there?
