Jeffery Nelson Bartley, 63, of Holualoa died Nov. 24 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Encino, Calif., he was a drywall installer/mason. Survived by daughter, Steeli Bartley of Captain Cook; sister, Carol (Billy) Field of Kaloko Mauka; two grandchildren and two nieces. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Theresa Llanes Baptista, 96, of Hilo died Nov. 13 at a care home. Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was retired from Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp., a former employee of Ono-Pac Papaya, self-taught seamstress and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Filipino Catholic Club. Visitation 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at St Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Survived by daughters, Evangeline (Jose) Castaneda and Alicia (Oscar) Panem of Hilo, Lety (Ronald) Rabang of Maui, Janet Albayalde and Nelia (Richard) Greer of California; daughter-in-law, Myrna Baptista of Hilo; brothers, Emmanuel Llanes, Fernando Llanes and Alex Llanes of the Philippines; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Soane “Mavae” Letisi, 48, of Waimea died Nov. 25 in Tonga. Born in Futu i Eua, Tonga, he was a security guard for Waikoloa Beach Marriott, American Guard Services and Private Security Group and was an Annunciation Catholic. Visitation 5-9 p.m. today at Ballard Family Mortuary and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church, 326 Desha Ave., Hilo. Mass at 1 p.m. Burial 2:30 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Carol Aceret Letisi of Waimea; mother, Makalita Letisi of Hilo; son, Soane (Jade) Letisi of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Luisa Letisi of Antioch, Calif., and Haitelensia “Sia” Letisi of Concord, Calif.; brothers, Sangato (Joni) Letisi of Oren, Utah, Peni Letisi and Dominic (Napua) Letisi Christensen of Hilo, Tino (Kealoha) Letisi of Kurtistown, Funaki (Andrea) Letisi of Salem, Ore.; sisters, Pilimilose Letisi of Edmonds, Wash., Atelaite Letisi of Waikoloa and Mary (Kiko) Letisi Vete of Edmond, Wash.; two grandchildren. Mary Margaret Mico, 60, of Volcano died Oct. 30 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Wyoming, she was a Receiving Department worker at Hilo Walmart. Celebration of life 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Onekahakaha Beach Park Pavilion No. 4 in Hilo. Survived by lifelong partner, Joseph R. Talon of Volcano; son, Rocco A. Mico-Talon of Volcano; daughter, Susan L. (Lunalilo H. Salas) Mico-Talon of Volcano; sisters, Roxy A. (Randy F. Wentworth) Mico of Mountain View and Frances McCurley of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Richard Eisei Oshiro, 101, of Mountain View died Nov. 15 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired cook for Hilo Medical Center, U.S. Army World War II Military Intelligence Service veteran and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and Hui Okinawa. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by daughter, Jeanne Nagatani of Honolulu; son, Russel (Marcella) Oshiro of Hilo; brothers, Yoshimori Oshiro of Honolulu and Masa Oshiro of California; sister, Yoshie Gresham of Honolulu; sisters-in-law, Lillian Oshiro of Honolulu, Akiko Shimabukuro of Mountain View and Sally Kiyuna of Honolulu; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
