Feeling just “happy to be there’’ at the HHSAA air riflery championships, the Hilo High junior shrugged off most of the pressure, and she fed off what little remained to shoot to the top.
Stuck in sixth during the regular season and the BIIF finals, Yokoe blew up at states, bringing home the winner’s trophy just like her brother, Guy, did for Waiakea in 2015.
