Wilfred “Braddah” Wakinikona Ah Tou Jr., 55, of Kealia died May 18 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, Hawaii, he was a county landfill equipment operator and member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Celebration of life 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Honaunau Rodeo Arena. Survived by son, Frank Ah Tou of Kealia; daughter, Felicia (Shane Espinoza) Ah Tou of Kealia; mother, Dorothy Ah Tou of Kealia; brothers, Thomas Ah Tou and Mervyn Ah Tou of Kealia; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Jayne Gwendolyn Subica Applebury, 76, of Hilo died July 9 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation &Nursing Center. Born in Olaa, she was a retired hair stylist, owner of various beauty salons and worked at Ben &Company. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday (August 1) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m.. Casual attire. James D. Garvin, 73, of Hilo died July 19 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hartford, Conn. No services. Survived by wife, Julie A. Steven Timothy Green, 72, of Kailua-Kona, died July 19 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Lancaster, Ohio, he was a retired Sacramento (Calif.) County firefighter. No flowers. Robert Po‘okapu Keli‘iho‘omalu Jr., 81, of Hilo died July 6 in Kahului, Maui. Born in Hilo, he was a chef, able seaman in Merchant Marines, seaman for Hawaiian Tug and Barge and Young Brothers and U.S. Army veteran.
