Police seek leads in Keaukaha car theft


Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in an auto theft that occurred on Sunday in the Keaukaha area.

According to reports, the suspect, pictured), entered the parking lot of an apartment building on the 300 block of Kalanianaole Avenue in Hilo and stole a vehicle.

The suspect is described as being in his early- to mid-20’s, dark complexion, with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a red shirt and hat, dark pants and shoes, carrying a gray backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
