Solomon James Perkins, 81, of Ocean View died Feb. 15 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Kealakekua, he was a self-employed building contractor, boat builder, commercial fisherman and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Scattering of ashes 11 a.m. Sunday (March 18) at Honokohau Boat Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Celebration of life to follow at the mooring site of the fishing boat “Vixen.” Casual attire; loose flowers welcome. Clayton David Rodrigues, 62, of Hilo died Feb. 14 at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born on Oahu.
