Retired Hawaii Army National Guard Maj. Gen. Gary Hara, son of retired Lt. Col. Henry S. Hara, greets a guest during a memorialization ceremony naming the Armed Forces Reserve Center in honor of his father Friday at the Keaukaha Military Reservation in Hilo. At left, a plaque listing the achievements of Henry Hara was unveiled during the ceremony. Hara family members have a combined 278 years of U.S. military service.
