Daniel Craddock, 8, peruses shelves of comic books Saturday during Free Comic Book Day at Enjoy Comics in Hilo. Co-owner Mike Sado helps a customer at the shop. Hilo Public Library also participated in Free Comic Book Day, the major annual event of the comic book industry. More than 2,300 comic book specialty retailers and public libraries worldwide give away more than 5.7 million comics on the first Saturday in May.
