Hawaii shot just one free throw in the game; a miss by Gibson Johnson.
Lemar’s 3-pointer with 7:30 left gave UC Davis (19-11, 11-4 Big West) the lead for good at 49-47. On Hawaii’s next possession, Lemar came up with a steal and promptly buried another 3 and the Aggies took control.
UC Davis shot 26 for 57 (45.6 percent) from the floor, including 8 for 23 from 3-point range. Darius Graham added 10 points in the win, which set up its first-place showdown with UC Irvine (18-13, 11-4) on Saturday.
Jack Purchase led Hawaii with 15 points shooting 5 for 11 exclusively behind the 3-point arc. Noah Allen scored 13 points and Johnson added 12.

The 2017 University of Hawaii football schedule was completed with the addition of the Mountain West slate Thursday.
The Rainbow Warriors open coach Nick Rolovich’s second season with three non-conference opponents – Aug. 26 at Massachusetts, Sept. 2 vs. Western Carolina, and Sept. 9 at UCLA. Following a bye week, UH begins league play on the road at Wyoming (Sept. 23), marking its third road game in the first month of the season.
The Warriors return to Aloha Stadium for a home date with Colorado State (Sept. 30) before alternating between home and away games over the next two weeks at Nevada (Oct. 7) and home against San José State (Oct. 14). After another bye week, UH hosts league champion San Diego State (Oct. 28).
The following week, UH travels to Las Vegas to meet UNLV (Nov. 4). Fresno State comes to Aloha Stadium, Nov. 11 and the Warriors close out the league schedule at Utah State, Nov. 18. Hawai’i concludes its 12-game regular season by renewing its rivalry with Brigham Young, Nov. 25 in Honolulu.
The Mountain West Football Championship Game will be played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked of the two divisional champions on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Another sweep
Sophomore opposite Stijn van Tilburg slammed 17 kills and hit .533 as Hawaii swept USC 25-20, 25-23, 25-23 Honolulu for its eighth consecutive victory.
The No. 4 Rainbow Warriors (17-2, 8-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) also increased their consecutive sets win streak to 23, the most since the 1998 squad won 21 straight.
UH, the nation’s blocking leader, totaled four blocks and hit .407 for the match.
USC (6-10, 5-8) was led by the nation’s kill leader outside hitter Lucas Yoder, who finished with 11 kills but hit only .172.
UH bashes Minnesota
Dominic DeMiero pitched eight strong innings, Dustin Demeter hit a two run home run and finished with four RBIs and Hawaii belted Big Ten champion Minnesota 11-2 inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Alex Fitchett doubled and finished with three hits and drove in two runs for Hawaii (4-4), which starts the Dairy Queen Classic on Friday.
DeMiero (2-0) worked eight innings, giving two runs on seven hits, while striking out six with no walks. The Gophers (4-3) came into the game batting .339.
