Hawaiian Telphone problems affecting cellphones, internet, 911 service

Hawaiian Telcom is experiencing technical problems that are affecting telephone, internet, and cell phone services, including 911, Hawaii County Civil Defense reported at 12:15 p.m. today.

These problems have been reported from Pahala through Hawaiian Ocean View Estates up to Kailua-Kona and are being addressed by Hawaiian Telcom.

Anyone affected by these problems who requires immediate medical attention should go to the nearest fire station, police station, or medical facility.
