Tickets are on sale for the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Department’s dance concert, “Great Leaps,” scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the UH Hilo Performing Arts Center.
Because of increased popularity, there also will be a preview show at 7:30 p.m. Friday at a discounted ticket price.
Lee Dombroski, PAC manager, said the ballet classes will dance to the Spanish “Concerto de Aranjuez,” hip-hop dance styles will energize the stage with the jazz class and guest performance by the INT Dance Squad, Hawaii Community College’s aerial dance classes will fly through the air and the modern dance and the new edition of environmental dance taught by Annie Bunker will bring surprises to the stage and outside of the PAC.
Ticket price for the special preview is $3 for all seats. Ticket prices for Saturday are $7 general and $5 discount, UH-Hilo/HawCC students and children 17 and younger.
