Police arrest, charge wanted Hilo man

Police arrested and charged a 35-year-old Hilo man who was the subject of a wanted bulletin.

George Kahakua Jr. turned himself in at the Hilo police station Monday and was charged with four counts of contempt of court.

His bail was set at $1,450.

On Tuesday, Kahakua was also charged with theft of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and three counts of ID theft. Those charges are in connection with a car break-in Sept. 21 on Kilauea Avenue near Aupuni Street in Hilo.

His bail for those offenses was set at $21,000.
