UH-Hilo seniors awarded study-abroad scholarships

Two University of Hawaii at Hilo students received the Gertrude E. McVickar Study Abroad Scholarship of $1,000 each.

Heather Bartlett, a senior majoring in economics, is studying at the University of Stirling, Scotland, for the 2015-16 academic year.

Zachary Nanbu, a senior majoring in linguistics, will study at Doshisha University, Japan, for the spring 2016 semester.

The McVickar scholarship is available to full-time and classified UH-Hilo students.
