Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting late Monday in the Leilani Estates subdivision in Puna.
Officers responding to a 10:48 p.m. call learned that a 47-year-old woman heard gunshots from the road on the 13-1200 block of Leilani Boulevard, followed by the sound of a vehicle driving away in the makai direction.
The woman then discovered a bullet hole in her house, where five people live.
Detectives recovered a bullet from inside the home.
The case is being investigated as five counts of first-degree reckless endangering.
