Military convoys scheduled for today, Saturday

Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy between Keaukaha Military Reservation in Hilo and Pohakuloa Training Area, today and Saturday.

Convoys will travel from KMR to PTA between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today, and will return from PTA to KMR between 8 a.m.-4 p.m Saturday. Convoys will use Hilo Airport Road, Kanoelehua Avenue (Highway 11), West Puainako Street, Komohana Street, Puainako Extension (Highway 2000) and the new Saddle Road, aka Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Highway 200).

The Hawaii Police Department will escort the convoys. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
