County to re-pave part of highway

The county Department of Public Works said about a mile of Old Mamalahoa Highway will be resurfaced between Wednesday and May 13.

According to a statement, the work will start about 1 mile from Lakeland Subdivision and proceed toward Honokaa. Work is scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

Alternate-lane closures will be in effect while work is ongoing.

Roadwork is weather permitting.
