I am very confused, and so are my neighbors. We have some questions for the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands.
We live on Alaneo Street in Waimea, and a few years ago, several homes were built on both ends of Alaneo Street. There were supposed to be two exits to Kawaihae Road for these homes, but they are still blocked off. Why?
The next question is: Why are you building more homes when there are still empty lots and homes? Doesn’t make sense to us.
The third question is: Where are all those people going to enter and exit? Hopefully not from HELCO/transfer station road. Please, no more cart before the horse.

Our ‘Crown Chakra’
I breathe a sigh of relief that our governor has placed a moratorium on Thirty Meter Telescope construction atop Mauna Kea. I whisper prayers of gratitude that national news media have gotten wind of this enormous, important issue.
Climatic conditions are connected to human consciousness — further drilling into our planet’s Crown Chakra would be disastrous.
Most of us are aware that our human body has a subtle energy field. Our Mother Earth also has subtle energies that can be seen and felt by initiates of spiritual principles and/or ancestors of cultural wisdom.
The rest of us would be insightful to be guided by those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. The outcrying of forest activism on the U.S. West Coast was unheeded to a large extent. Those old-growth cathedrals, and the energies they housed, were slaughtered to benefit those very persons who were entrusted with this vital planetary energy.
When will we ever learn? We must speak up!

I am amazed about all the fuss concerning the “desecration” of the land by the TMT.
If we are so concerned about really taking care of the land, why is no one protesting the continued issuance of cesspool permits in Hawaii? As we all know, or don’t, a cesspool is nothing more than a hole in the ground into which human waste is deposited and then migrates through our precious drinking water, finally ending up in the ocean for all wildlife to ingest.
Now that’s something to protest about. If I were a god, it would upset me that my flock is doing that to me!
