Take steps to assist people with multiple sclerosis by participating in the 2015 Hilo Walk MS: Score a Cure! from 4-7 p.m. May 2 at the Edith Kanakaole Multipurpose Stadium.
Walk MS is a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which connects people living with MS and those who care for them.
The event brings attention to the connections and support in the community for neighbors living with multiple sclerosis, a disease that ravages the central nervous system.
The funds raised at Walk MS will go toward supporting innovative research and to programs and services that assist the more than 1,200 families living with MS in Hawaii.
Check-in for Hilo Walk MS: Score a Cure! starts at 4 p.m. and the walk will begin at 5.
After the walk, participants will enjoy family-friendly games, live entertainment and a light dinner.
There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum, however, participants who raise $100 or more will receive a Walk MS T-shirt and be eligible for prizes.
