HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu authorities say a 25-year-old man is being treated for injuries received while hiking on an Oahu trail.
The hiker was airlifted from the Puu Manamana Trail Sunday afternoon by a Honolulu Fire Department rescue team.
Authorities say the hiker was with a group when he fell shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday.
According to authorities, the hiker fell up to 25 feet, then slid an additional 500 feet.
The hiker was transferred to a waiting ambulance after being flown to Swanzy Beach Park.
