Tasty? Yes.
Great for the waste line?
Maybe not.
But come and enjoy a slice of homemade cake in a variety of flavors at the 2014 Baby Cakes Cake &Coffee exhibit today. The exhibit opens at 7 a.m. and is sponsored by The Pregnancy Center in Kailua-Kona.
This tasty treat will transform your taste buds while helping raise funds necessary to continue to provide no-cost pregnancy screening and ultrasounds, informative classes about childbirth and parenting and the “Earn While You Learn” program, which provides essential information about pregnancy, nutrition, relationships, parenting and so much more. The exhibit also offers the opportunity to earn gift certificates with a combined total of up to $500, as well as serves as a resource for information about birth control, sex, adoption and abortion alternatives and partnering agencies who offer support assistance.
The 2014 Baby Cakes Cake &Coffee exhibit will be set up on the front lawn of Makuaikaua Church, offering delectable slices of homemade cake for just $3 per slice. In addition, pick up a cup of steaming hot or icey cold 100 percent Kona coffee for $3, donated by Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee and lovingly prepared by the volunteers and staff of The Pregnancy Center.
The vision of The Pregnancy Center is to educate, encourage and equip people in understanding the sacredness of human life, the soundness of sexual purity and the value of the family.
The Pregnancy Center needs your support. Consider volunteering in a variety of ways. And if you can’t volunteer, consider financially supporting the only pregnancy center on the Big Island as it takes its new mobile ultrasound islandwide. (All donations are 100 percent taxdeductible.)
