The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today disaster aid will be provided to the state and Hawaii County for damage to public infrastructure caused by Tropical Storm Iselle.
The aid will not be provided to individual homes and property owners, though the county is still pursuing that assistance.
It wasn’t immediately clear how much aid will be provided to the county.
A county spokesman said funds could be used to replace a damaged culvert in Ka‘u and related issues.
