Come on and ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’ Oct. 18

The Hilo Woman’s Club invites the community to its annual “Oldies But Goodies Sock Hop” from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the HWC Clubhouse at 7 Lele St. in Hilo.

Everyone is invited to “put on your favorite dancing duds, whether they be from the ’50s, ’60s, or ‘whatever,’ and dance to old favorites performed by Dan Nix,” said a club spokeswoman.

Tickets are $15 per person and all proceeds directly benefit the community via the club’s scholarships and community donations programs.
