HONOLULU (AP) — A 24-year-old man was shot and critically injured early Sunday morning on a downtown Honolulu street.
Two groups got into a confrontation after midnight.
Most in the groups dispersed but police said a 33-year-old man returned with a gun.
Police say he shot the younger man at about 1:15 a.m. at south Pauahi Street.
Emergency Medical Services said the wounded man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police arrested the suspect about five minutes after the shooting near Nuuanu Avenue.
