Shon Micheal Kawika “Goose” Luta, 36, of Ocean View died April 4 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a painter for WE Painting Company and a member of the painter’s union. Survived by wife, Jody Luta of Ocean View; daughters, Tyra (Dylan DePriest-Tag) Jones, Tia Jones and Tory Jones, each of Kailua-Kona, and Tayler Libarios of Ocean View; son, Tyler Libarios of Ocean View; parents, Charles and Irene Luta of Ocean View; brothers, Charles (joy) Luta, Jr., of Waimea, Preston (Davelyn) Luta of Kalaoa, Bryson (Danielle) Luta of Ocean View and Braxton (Kanoe) Luta of Ocean View; god parents, Andy and Alice Quanan of Waimea; one grandson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
