Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in a theft in Naalehu.
On Feb. 11, at about 4:06 p.m., police received a call from a 53-year-old homeowner reporting that unknown suspects had removed 10 80-pound brown burlap bags of parchment coffee, a 10-foot by 10-foot instant gazebo and an electric garage door opener from his property. The bags are marked with “14-2” in black ink. The value of the stolen items is $10,000.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Officer Augustine Akiu at 939-2520.
Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
